We purchased the licenses but cannot get the disk from Symantec.You can find the most important and useful posts about Veritas NetBackup and its integration with applications such Microsoft Exchange or SQL. Symantec will not supply us with this disk as our one year support we got with the purchase expired. Since it is only the client software it can't be large, and all the licensing is done on the server and those licenses are already installed and active. It could be an iso image, zip file, tar archive etc. I need to get the windows client software for XP pro.
I have installed all software from zip archives of the software. I do not have this disk any longer, if I ever had it at all. The windows clients MUST be done individually from a CD on each windows client. To install the Unix clients we simply configured a trusted path, pushed out the client install, and re-secured the server. We have all the licenses for the additional windows clients as they were part of the original licenses we purchased over a year ago. To date we have only had various Unix clients (Solaris, RedHat, SuSe, HP-UX, and AIX). I have been given the task to add to this environment some windows clients. I have a current NetBackup environment currently running NetBackup 6.0 on Solaris 10.
